What is bill shock and how do I avoid it? How do I save money on International Roaming charges?

Bill shock is a term used to describe the very high bill users receive when they experience unexpected charges for using certain services.

We recommend you schedule your International Roaming service at least 2 days before your scheduled trip.

Here are a few tips for avoiding bill shock:

  • Turn on airplane in-flight, during transit, on a cruise, and in pay-as-you-go countries.
  • Please schedule your International Roaming service at least 2 days before your overseas trip.
  • Switch your data on when you reach your final destination.
  • Avoid using SMS and Voice while traveling.
  • Try and use WiFi whenever available to save on data charges.
