We call it porting.  To port your number, you will need your current carrier’s account number and transfer PIN.   In addition, you’ll also need to provide your current carrier’s name (ie, Verizon, AT&T, Mint Mobile, etc.), account owners’ billing ZIP code, and the phone number you’d like to transfer (port).
